About Us
Electrical Work and Home Automation Systems in Christchurch
I have been in the electrical industry for 17 years, completing a wide range of electrical contracts in my time as an electrical contractor, from small 3 bedroom houses to large scale commercial contracts. We set up Caltec Electrical & A.V Limited in June 2011 after purchasing the company off the previous owner of Caltec Electrical, whom I worked with for a year beforehand. We started with 3 guys and currently have a team of 9 guys — a project Manager, Tom, with a mixture of registered electricians and apprentices.
Current Projects
Currently at Caltec we are undertaking some architecturally designed houses, large scale commercial properties and also completing electrical maintenance contracts. Another thing that we have a lot of pride in is that we have worked and are currently working on some of the most historical buildings in Christchurch. We completed the earthquake repair on Riccarton House and are currently working on Mona Vale Homestead, Sign of the Takahe and Sign of the Kiwi.
Our Approach
We are part of the Master Electricians brand, meaning we are equipped with their backing and warranties in all our work. We currently have 6 vehicles in circulation in the Christchurch and the Canterbury region, allowing us to work with some first class builder firms and have a loyal customer base. We like to make sure we complete a high class electrical job on time and within budget. We pride ourselves on our finishing and our dedication to making sure that the customer is happy and the end result exceeds their expectations.
